Segment 2 is up

Segment 2 has been uploaded, and the segment's topic was The Color Purple, and it was a doozy! I had a hard time trying to record this segment. Since I am still a new podcastir I try to keep my episodes short and not too long, and I know with The Color Purple. There was so much to talk about because there was so much to break down, and I felt like I didn't want to focus on the musical and film adaptation; I just wanted to focus on the book and break down the book.the whole point of the podcast is to talk about the book and just talk about the different topics as a whole. I feel like this one was so hard to do because I had to approach it with caution, being that so many of the topics within the book are susceptible topics, and I didn't want to offend my audience. I wanted everyone to be comfortable as we talk about these sensitive topics, such as Incest, sexual abuse, rape, physical abuse, emotional abuse. It's just so many different sensitive subjects within this book. but altogether, the book is beautifully written. I love the poetic undertones that the book has; it shows the author's poetic side; although the book describes Celie as an illiterate young lady, the way she describes things is sometimes sad but sometimes beautiful as well.
